Participate in National Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Plant it Pink project poster featuring the pink breast cancer ribbon and the National Garden Clubs. Show your support of breast cancer awareness by planting pink flowers at hospitals, cancer centers, memorial gardens, garden therapy projects and private gardens. Pink is everywhere during the month of October, we have a unique opportunity to use the color in a natural and organic way in our communities!

These efforts will help remind everyone the importance of breast cancer awareness, early detection and the steps to ensure that all women have access to the lifesaving mammograms and cancer screenings they need. Please remember to send your participation photos and descriptions of your plantings for inclusion in our presentation at the National Convention.

A great way to share your Plant It Pink events and stories is to send photos to the NGC Flickr web site. Click here to jump to our Photo Archiving web page for more details and information.
